The Roehampton Secondary Computing PGCE is a new bespoke programme, developed and taught in partnership with leading computing teachers in local schools. The university is at the forefront of computer science education and staff participate in the curriculum.
The student learns about the challenges and opportunities of teaching computer science, information technology and digital literacy in secondary schools. The course explores how approaches from the world of software development, such as skill and craft, can be paralleled in the classroom and applied to the teaching and learning of programming and digital media. The course provides the skills to develop students' computational thinking and ICT skills both within and outside the subject curriculum.

With the help of written assignments, you can base your professional interests on the basis of the basic competence of pedagogical subjects. The course is ideal for recent graduates of computer-related degrees and those with practical software development experience. The university hopes to offer a pre-subject competency development course for graduates without programming experience in other departments.
