The Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine offers a program leading to a master's degree in anesthesiology and pain medicine with a medical program. Research can be conducted in several areas related to anesthesiology and pain medicine (ie, neuroscience, regional anaesthesia, and cognition). Entry requirements

Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent academic certificate to be admitted to this program. The department generally does not accept students with an undergraduate GPA of less than 3.1 at the University of Alberta or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution. If applicable (see English Language Requirement), applicants must obtain a TOEFL score of at least 95 (online) or an equivalent or equivalent IELTS or CAEL score.
