The Department of Anthropology offers a doctor of philosophy and a master's degree (on a thesis basis). Students planning graduate study in anthropology should direct their questions to the departmental graduate program advisor/research coordinator. Entry requirements
The Department's minimum admission requirements for the Master's program (thesis-based) is a bachelor's degree in Anthropology or a closely related discipline with a GPA of at least 3.3 on a 4-point scale from the University of Alberta or an equivalent qualification. and from a recognized institution. Entry GPA is calculated from the last 60 units of graded courses completed or the equivalent of the last two years of full-time graded courses.
